clean most of my coins
up a bit before preparing my image.   Any further touch-up is the option of the next owner.

STATUS
(current, retired etc) is important to you,
there are a number of ways to research.
I
enjoy looking up info
& will include my findings in my initial listing
of a design
if I'm fairly confident of the information at the time.   I don't normally recheck when a coin is relisted.   Sometimes due to design, location or variations available, status isn't clear-cut.
If I show no status, the design is either current or I'm just not sure.
