Artist Notes about the Wearable Art Painting:
I like to paint the wearable horse art pendants in a series, and this little mare's face had such a quiet pleasant energy about her. I like quiet and serene moments with horses so it is an easy inspiration for me to delve into my watercolors and paint her likeness. Sometimes the background colors I have planned out but on this painting the idea of spring colors of bright purples and greens popped up like a natural thought to compliment the white horse and her look of  a kind quiet being.
Specifics about the Jewelry:
Art Pendant: 2.25" round original hand painted watercolor on canvas covered metal art pendant form. I use professional quality artist grade watercolors for long lasting color vibrancy so year after year the pendant painting will still draw you in and compliments from observers! A light gloss varnish covers the painting for additional protection and durability from normal fine jewelry handling and wearing. Pendant is not waterproof, scratch proof or crush proof.
Jewel Bail: Multi color faux dark opal resin cabochon with a golden metal bezel, bail behind cabochon is hand wired wrapped with German silver plated copper wire. The jewel measures 17mm x 22mm x 6mm dome rise, with the wire opening large enough to accommodate a 3 to 4 mm size necklace chain. I chose this particular jewel design because the colors in the cabochon are shimmering purples and greens that compliment the background colors of the pendant painting. The jeweled bail and the pendant painting together drape 3" from the silver plated necklace chain included.
Earrings: Matching the jewel cabochon design I used for the bail, these are smaller versions of the faux shimmering dark opal resin with gold trim, measuring 14mm x 14mm x 4 mm thick. The cabochons dangle from stainless steel fish hook ear wires and have approximately a 1.5" drop.
Necklace length: Included with the wearable art pendant is a  bright silver plated box chain 18" 3mm thick with a lobster claw spring clasp. Chain is not tarnish free so would need to be cleaned with a jewelry cloth periodically.
