    Description

    Rattlesnake Island Local Post Stamps
    NEW 2022
Lake Erie Comm. Vessels Relaunch. RILP has started up local airmail service between Rattlesnake Island and Port Clinton Via Griffing Flying Services. The USPS contracts with Griffing Flying Services to fly mail from the 4 neighboring islands in the western basis of Lake Erie but continues to deny Rattlesnake Island the right to have mail service. This was the reason Dr. Frackelton started the RILP in 1966 and is still the reason for the relaunch.
The new 2022 stamps were released on Nov. 10th and feature the following:
RSI 193 - .50 - Barge, Crane, & Push Boat "Buttugly" of Ken Gill Construction
RSI 194 - .75 - "Jet Express II" of Jet Express
RSI 195 - 1.00 - "South Bass" of Miller Boat Lines
The stamps are a unique Roulette 24 style perforations. Scan of stamps is a stock photo.
