This item is part of a room full of vintage electronics that have been displayed, unused as a 'for viewing only' personal collection.
The items in this electronics collection have been displayed, unused, not even plugged in, for a minimum or 20+ years or more according to the family of the original owner.
PLEASE NOTE:
When we took this on consignment in December 2020 it was tested at the owner's location and it did play his laser disks.
We were told to wait before listing it for sale as the owner had other items (a room full of vintage receivers) they wanted sold first.
This item has been sitting in inventory since then.
Now we are authorized to list the laser disc players, but no longer have any laser discs to re-test that function.
We did test several CDs and they did play (see photos)
We are selling these items as "IN NEED OF SOME REPAIR, ADJUSTMENT ETC", "NOT WORKING OR UNTESTED" and you should be buying it on that assumption.

The Pioneer CLD-2400 is an industrial level Laser Disc / CD player.
As schools and training facilities discovered the educational benefits of Laser Disc players, demand was growing for innovative
new features. With its unmatched experience in Laser Disc player technology, Pioneer was able to meet this demand with
the CLD-V2400. This is the first Laser Disc player that can play Laser Discs and CDs, and control them both by either barcode
or computer.  This flexibility provides a range of options and makes the CLD-V2400 the ideal model for educational applications
The CLD-2400 can output 4-channels of audio for laser discs (2 digital and 2 analog at the same time), and two digital audio outputs for Compact Discs (CDs)

of bubble wrap and placed in an oversized box that is
double or triple walled
on the side panels so there are
several
inches of packing material and strong styrofoam supports between the item and the outside of the box (SEE PHOTOS).   This means the item will not move within the box nor should it ever touch the outside of the box if dropped, where damage can occur.

re-use previously used boxes!   We do not go cheap just to make a sale and pray it arrives safely.  We know how FedEx and USPS handle packages.
