GAVVY "CACTUS" CRAVATH Sensational vintage government postcard trimmed to 3x5 in size with handwritten note , postmarked on reverse 2/28/1939 and dated on the front Feb 28th 1939. Considered to be the top power hitter of the dead ball era he led the league in home runs six times ! 1913-1915 & 1917-1919 and in RBI twice 1913 & 1915. His status as one of the most dominant players of the decade at his position places him in the status of a potential future Hall of Famer. In 1915 having one of his best seasons of his career he led the Phillies to winning their first pennant ever. Died-1963
