This very fancy dress is made out of periwinkle blue taffeta, it features a pink, blue and white lace overlay on the bodice and skirt. To add more puffiness, there is a tulle underskirt. The sleeves are extra puffy and feature elastic and a ruffled bottom. Pearls and ribbon adorn the skirt. I also made a fancy bow for her hair.
The dress has always hung in a bedroom closet and only has been worn occasionally by my granddaughters. There is some spotting on the taffeta but there’s so much fullness with the dress, it isn’t noticeable.
I also have my matching bridesmaid dress listed on eBay.
I sewed this fancy dress for my daughter when she was the flower girl in my brothers wedding in 1990. I am an excellent seamstress and have my own sewing machine dealership and fabric store today. It is excellently sewn.
