Custom Cover for LCD Display & Controls for AquaCal SunBlazer Pool Heaters
Designed for the AquaCal SunBlazer SB128AHDSBLA model pool heater, but should fit other models as long as the control panel is the same size (approx. 8.25 inches wide and 3.5 inches tall)
I designed this after the LCD display on my pool heater went bad due to sunlight and heat damaging the LCD itself. At first it faded and was difficult to read, and eventually this worsened to the point where it couldn’t be seen at all. I had the display replaced, but wanted to prevent it from happening again. This part is my solution to that problem. It is 3D printed in ABS plastic to withstand heat and sunlight, and opens and closes easily to allow access to the controls and display, while protecting them when not in use.
To install, simply remove the existing two screws holding in your control panel, place this cover on top of the control panel, and secure it and the control panel with the original screws as shown in the photos. Do not over-tighten the screws, as excess force can crack the plastic.
